Modeling and Performance Evaluation of a Public Transportation System
Résumé
The purpose of this paper is to model, analyze and evaluate the performance of a public transportation network characterized by choice phenomena, synchronization and concurrency using two complementary formalism Petri Nets (PN) and Dioid algebra. Our contribution through this paper is to propose a (max, +) modeling approach for this type of system with conflicts by developing some functions called routing functions enabling to manage all encountered conflicts in the system. Afterwards, we evaluate the departure/arrival time of the transportation means from/to the different stations and also passengers waiting, boarding and disembarking times.
